Joshua Tree at Night

2020 taught me a lot of lessons. One which was to slow down a bit and enjoy what I have, I am so grateful for living in this wild and beautiful high desert.

As spring emerged and the shock of the pandemic wore off so did some friends who invited me to go out and shoot the milky way with them. We first consulted the dark skies map, then found the best spot to shoot in Joshua Tree National Park, we decided on Cap Rock. Although there was a bit of a glow from the Coachella Valley I think we got some great results.

I learned so much on this trip, mostly what I was doing wrong and what I needed to correct it for the next shoot. But it was the perfect time to hang with great friends in the middle of the night at Joshua Tree National Park and experiment with the my Lume cubes too.
